Roxie is our 10 wk old rescue kitten. She's had a bit of a rough start. She was rescued in LA at only 3 weeks. She had 1 sister and 2 brothers. All of them were captured at the same time. Unfortunately, the person who trapped them, didn't trap the mom, so they needed to be bottle fed. I have been told that it is always best to trap the mom too if you can so she can help care for and train them. They were then surrendered to www.californiasiameserescue.org and cared for by the loving fosters until they were ready for adoption. They all now have wonderful forever homes.
After I got Roxie, she went through being spayed and having a rough time with it; she fell off a top stair and injured her leg; 3 days after her spay, she developed an upper respiratory infection and then had a bout of ring worm. That is all within 3 weeks! She literally spent about 7 days in bed and needed to have chicken broth fed to her to keep her hydrated.
She's recovering well now and being the crazy kitten she is meant to be.
When you donate monthly, or by an extra percentage, it will go into Roxie's Rescue Fund. All proceeds will be given to local rescues and fosters to help them keep doing the amazing work they are doing to save animals.
Did you know that when you adopt a rescue, your adoption fee only pays for a percentage of what it costs to rescue a pet. Roxie's foster mom told me that it cost them approx $500 per cat with all the medical bills and the adoption fee is only $175. On top of that, fosters are sometimes left with many out-of-pocket costs such as food, kitty litter and other supplies. Another $150 per cat.
Set up a monthly donation today and help the rescues stay afloat and continue doing the important work they are doing to save precious animal lives.
HOW IT WORKS:
Thank you so much! We, Roxie and the other rescue animals are so GRATEFUL!
